I appreciate everything Grungo Law has done for me. I was in an accident in 2020 and when we settled on the case the amount was given back to me from all the drs appts and my injuries I had sustained from the accident. the teams I’ve dealt with in Grungo were nothing but exceptional. They helped me with getting the correct pain management and guiding me through the process of getting reimbursed for the personal injuries I had to deal with after my accident. I don’t think I would’ve had the same great experience that I did anywhere else. Grungo will be my first call if I ever get into another accident (knocks on wood hoping not to lol)

I must say this is one of the best law firms I’ve ever been associated with. They are extremely professional and they just simply care. I will recommend this firm to everyone. Erica Domingo and her assistant Michelle were the absolute best to work with and I’m so grateful to have had them on my side.

I was truly blessed to have all the people the people who helped me here over the past 4 years. They honestly care about their clients, checked up on me frequently to see how my treatments were going, kept me up to date with what was happening. They even wished me happy birthday and gave my new born son a onesie. They treated me like a friend the entire time! I can’t express enough how grateful I am for them. If you ever get into an auto accident, these guys/gals are the best!! Highly recommend

Thousands of large commercial trucks and tractor trailers travel on New Jersey interstates and highways each year.  Due to their large size and reduced maneuverability, these oversized motor vehicles pose unique risks to passenger car drivers and pedestrians. In 2012, there were 254 highway fatalities in New Jersey. Many of these involved large commercial trucking vehicles.

With that said, if you or a loved one have been injured in an accident involving a commercial truck, it is important you consult with a New Jersey truck accident lawyer to discuss filing an injury claim. An experienced accident attorney in South Jersey can assist in compiling evidence to put forth on your behalf and ensure all paper work is completed as necessary. Causes of Truck Accidents

Causes of trucking accidents involving motor vehicle accidents often result from a variety of different factors. Some of the most commonly cited causes that warrant attention from a truck collision attorney in New Jersey include:

Driver Fatigue and Drowsy Driving

The trucking industry is notorious for its physical demands on its drivers.  Truck drivers often are pushed to their physical limits by driving over long periods of time and across great distances. Many truck accidents occur when truck drivers fall asleep at the wheel and inadvertently drift into another lane of traffic.

Poor Road Conditions

Improperly maintained roads create dangerous conditions for trucks.  With their large size and increased speed capacity, large trucks may be unable to quickly adjust to road defects.

Weather Conditions

Operating a large commercial vehicle in adverse weather conditions including sleet, rain and snow can contribute to major collisions between large commercial trucks and passenger vehicles.

Aggressive Driving

Excessive speeding, tailgating and other types of aggressive driving behavior can result in potentially fatal collisions on highways and interstates.

Distracted Driving

Talking on the phone and texting while driving are the most common types of distracted driving behavior.  Distracted driving may cause truck drivers to fail to check blind spots or fail to use turn signals while changing lanes.  Rear-end collisions, which the Federal Highway Administration has found to be the leading cause of truck fatalities, often occur as the result of distracted driving.

Mechanical Failure

Other serious truck collisions can occur when defective truck parts malfunction.  Faulty brake systems, steering components and transmissions have caused major trucking accidents resulting in devastating bodily injuries and even death.

Improperly Loaded Cargo

Commercial trucks and tractor trailers are responsible for transporting goods throughout the country. When truck cargo is improperly secured or loaded into a truck or onto a trailer, accidents may occur as cargo or other types of debris shift or fall into roadways causing serious accidents.

Driving Under the Influence of Drug or Alcohol

Truck drivers are especially prone to the dangerous activity of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol due to their erratic work schedules.  Use of energy pills and other drugs to remain awake can impair the truck driver’s ability to drive safely.

Potential Damages

High-impact collisions with large trucking vehicles can result in significant truck accident injuries and property damage to other vehicles. Catastrophic bodily injuries including paralysis, loss of limbs, broken bones, spinal cord injuries, internal bleeding, and brain injuries frequently result from truck and tractor-trailer accidents. A skilled attorney in New Jersey could make sure these losses receive compensation in a truck crash claim.

If a death has occurred as a result of a truck accident, don’t hesitate to contact our wrongful death lawyers in South Jersey today.

Responsible Parties

Commercial truck drivers are not the only parties that may face liability when trucking accidents result in serious property damage and bodily injury.  Truck owners, leasing agents, loading and shipping companies, maintenance companies, manufacturers, distributors, designers, and engineers may all share in liability. At Grungo Law, our experienced truck wreck lawyers in New Jersey will assist you in identifying all potentially responsible parties in order to help you obtain the maximum amount of compensation for your injuries.
